What is a Neighbourhood Plan?
The Draft Neighbourhood Plan is out for consultation. For a six week period from Wednesday 8th August – Wednesday 26th September 2018. Following the public consultation process, the plan will be amended and submitted to Cheshire East Council together with supporting documentation, inclduing a basic conditions statement and a consultation statment setting out who has been consulted, how the consultation has been undertaken and how the representations recieved have informed the revised plan. Cheshire East Council with then reconsult, before the plan is subjected to an examination by an independant examiner. If the plan meets the required basic conditions, then the amended plan will be subjected to a local Referendum. If their is a Yes vote, the the NDP will be adpoted by Cheshire East Council and used to help to determine planning applications in the parish of Middlewich.

Members of the Steering Group will be hosting drop in sessions at which all interested parties can view and make comments on the Draft Neighbourhood Plan at the following times and location:
- Victoria Hall, Civic Way, Middlewich – Thursday 6th September, 2018 – 6pm – 8pm.
- Mexon Market, Wheelock Street, Middlewich – Saturday 15th September, 2018 – 10am – 12pm.
