FAB28 Showcases

W are happy to announce showcases across the weekend of FAB showing off some of the best musical talents that we have to offer!

Showcase Americana

16th June MAIN Stage 12.30pm

`SHOWCASE AMERICANA` continues our celebration of American country music and is headlined by Tim Eriksen, acclaimed for transforming the American tradition with startling interpretations of old ballads, love songs, shape-note gospel and dance tunes from New England and Southern Appalachia. “one of the best voices in music” – T Bone Burnett

Alongside Tim, we have `the Cody Sisters` from Colorado and Nashville based Josh Okeefe- each providing their own wonderfully unique and original music. Completing the showcase is the local talent of Cinder Hill, Fine Lines and Katie Mac.

`I hope this concert provides a taste of just how good this music is and audiences look for more- it really is that simple! DaveT

 Pete Morton’s Folk Showcase

Saturday 2pm the White Bear

Proud we are, as we continue to champion the music which started the festival all those moons ago- and who better to do that?

Pete Morton needs no introduction to folkies, he`s a national treasure (they just don’t know it yet)…

It’s easy to speak from the heart when writing about Pete because that’s where he sings from. I first saw him play at a Chester Folk Survivors Day in Hoole Community Centre, back in the 90s. He was sporting a Jez Lowe look-a-like tee-shirt and immediately grabbed attention by singing his opening song acapella, and kept me pinned in my seat for 45minutes! Over the years he`s been coming back to Middlewich and since 2016 has been hosting this `showcase of emerging talent`, and long may he do so.

Staged especially for those who say “there`s no folk at the FAB Festival any more`…DaveT

Artists taking part in the showcase will be listed as/when they are confirmed

Mojo Magazine sums him up perfectly “Pete is everything we want our singer-songwriters to be. Fiercely creative, proudly independent, skillful, talented, and terminally unpredictable”
